Dental Apps for Kids

We really like when you bring your kids to Robson Family Dental for their regular hygiene visits. Kids liven up our office with their energy and enthusiasm.

There are a number of dental apps that parents have found useful for their kids. Dental apps can be beneficial for kids in two ways: They can teach kids about dentistry and they can also remind kids to practice effective dental hygiene at home. Here are three dental apps that you might find helpful.

Denny Timer

It’s extremely important for kids to develop effective brushing habits at an early age. This includes brushing for at least two minutes and brushing all the sections and surfaces of your smile.  Denny Timer helps guide kids to brush thoroughly. Denny can even call kids to remind them to brush their teeth.

Reviewer Amber Wright says, “My children love the app and they follow the brushing exactly.”

Denny Timer is rated E for Everyone. Users give this free app 4.3 out of 5 stars.

My Dentist Game

My Dentist Game is rated E for Everyone. Users give it a rating of 4.2 out of 5 stars. The app is free but it does contain ads. This game allows users to learn about dentistry by playing the role of a general dentist, an oral hygienist, or an orthodontist. With My Dentist Game, users get to treat patients while using over 20 dental instruments.

The graphics on My Dental Game are outstanding. It also has three mini games which according to the reviews are enjoyable for kids and their parents. Reviewer Graeme Newton suggests that My Dental Game could help reduce dental anxiety. He says the app is “Great for kids going to dentist for first time.”

Crazy Kid Fun Dentist

Crazy Kid Fun Dentist is Rated T for Teen. Users give it 4 out of 5 stars. The game is free but contains ads. Crazy Kid Fun Dentist is another game that teaches kids about dentistry.

This game is fun and it’s also funny. The graphics are great with lifelike characters. The app allows users to select a patient for treatment and then perform various dental procedures, such as scanning teeth to determine their condition, cleaning teeth, removing stains, applying braces, and performing dental surgery. The app even teaches users to sterilize their instruments.

Reviewer Ruchi Yadav says, “I think that the girls or boys who wants to become a dentist this game is best for them. Love this game very much”
